Tanney Passing Academy

Please check back this fall for information on 2015 Winter/Spring Camps.

The Tanney Passing Academy (TPA) originated five years ago, after Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) Hall of Fame Coach Don Tanney retired from his 28 year high school coaching career. Soon after his retirement, Coach Tanney’s passion for improving young football player’s skills on the field and influencing their character off the field, led to the creation of TPA.  Throughout the past five years, Coach Tanney and his sons, Mitch Tanney and  Alex Tanney (current NFL QB), have been helping mold the careers of junior high and high school players across the state of Illinois.

Now teamed up with his son Alex, who is entering his 3rd NFL season, TPA is on pace to be the premiere quarterback and wide receiver camp in the Midwest.  WIth the collaboration of Don’s coaching knowledge and Alex’s standout college and professional playing experience, TPA offers athletes from junior high to high school an opportunity to have one-on-one coaching from two different perspectives within the game.

TPA specializes in the following Quarterback and Wide Receiver techniques and fundamentals
